Thanks to Alex, Carmel and Jean for organising the visit to this very interesting and untouched since 1974, grand home, Mooramong. The gardens were beautiful in the sunshine. Not sure about the citron tasting though.

 

What a beautiful day for an outing! Morning tea was at Skipton and it was also a chance for several members to scratch their shopping itch!


Inside this National Trust Home, its volunteers have done an incredible job of preserving this "time capsule" of a privileged rural life in the mid 20th century. It was no trouble to don the blue slippers to protect the original carpet, other than bending our ageing backs that is!

 

Our final stop was Lunch at The Smythesdale Hotel.
