2017 - 2018 National Australian Probus Photographic Competition


The theme of the Probus South Pacific 2017-2018 National Photographic Competition is:

"Young at Heart"

So get your camera out and take a shot at being in the running to win part of the amazing prize pool of more than $35,000

First prize, valued at $25,500: Staying in an Ocean-view cabin, the winner and a friend will cruise the mediterranean on aboard Aegean Odyssey courtesy of Cruise Traveller and Voyages to Antiquity. The prize includes return airfares for two from Australia to Europe and transfers to and from the ship.

Second prize, valued at $5,000: Four nights on Norfolk Island for two, courtesy of Trade Travel. The trip includes flights courtesy of Air New Zealand, four nights accommodation, two yours and two dinners on Norfolk Island, in addition to entry to the new Pitcairn Settlers Village night time experience.

Third prize, valued at $3,000: Gate1 is offering a Tour Voucher. See Asia, South America, Africa, North America or Europe. Your vouchers can be used towards any escorted tour, river cruise or independent package of your choice. Excludes airfares. 

Runners-up: three runners-up will each receive a $500 voucher for accommodation at Golden Chain Motor Inns. With more locations than any other hotel chain in Australia, Golden Chain Motor Inns provide family-style hospitality.

Get snapping and post or email your photographs accompanied by the official entry form, along with a caption, your name, address, telephone number, email address, Probus Club name and Probus Membership Number to Probus South Pacific Limited

Terms and Conditions

  1. All entrants must be a financial Probus club member in Australia and a member of an accredited Probus club in Australia.
  2. Entries submitted must demonstrate a strong connection with the theme - "Young at Heart"
  3. The photograph submitted must portray retirees in an active environment.
  4. The entrant must take the photograph submitted.
  5. Entrants may submit any number of photographs with an attached original entry form.
  6. Please keep editing of photographs to a minimum. If editing is required, please restrict editing to cropping and slight colour correction.
  7. If entries are submitted by email, the file must be as large as possible and at least one megabyte (MB) in order to print clearly.
  8. The photograph must be captioned accordingly.
  9. The photograph becomes the property of PSPL and the photograph may be used in promotional material for the Probus organisation.
  10. You warrant that your photograph does not infringe the intellectual property or moral rights of any third party and that you hold all permits and licenses required.
