2019 OUTINGS:-
Friday 22nd February - Harbour Cruise – ALL BOOKED - Wharf 6 Circular Quay. Departing 12.30pm
25th March to 28th March - The 3 nights at Avoca Hotel and Resort, Monday 25th March to 28th March still needs more member’s names on list. We have 18 names & need at least 20. This is at a cost of $470 pp ($100 deposit) using your own car or train to Gosford. Train travellers will be picked up by coach from the train. Avoca is such a lovely place and this is a great chance to get to know your fellow Probians with a reasonably low-cost holiday.
Thursday 18th April is our 20th Birthday and Changeover Luncheon at Blacktown Workers Marana Room and we will be having an Easter Hat Parade. There will be a prize draw winner for those members with hats. Join in the fun and wear your best creation!
Thursday 6th May, 2019 is our Hopkinson’s Bus trip to “Picturesque Pittwater” with morning tea at Manly Dam, lunch at Pittwater RSL together with a guide giving us information about the Northern Beaches. Cost $61.00pp with 9.00am start from Toongabbie Sports & Bowling Club.
Thursday 27 June, 2019 is a Metro Train rail trip from Chatswood to Tallawong then back to Rouse Hill with lunch at Rouse Hill. Meet 10.00am Parramatta Station, train to Chatswood & pick up the Metro Train. Members can catch a bus back to Blacktown or Parramatta. Own cost [$2.50 Opal card]
Thursday 25 July, 2019 “Xmas in July” at Fox Hills Golf Club 12noon at the Club; decorate your table for Xmas to add to the feeling of Xmas. Own Cost.
Friday 23rd August, 2019 lunch at Bay Vista Ice Cream Parlour with pancakes & waffles plus normal meals 12noon. This venue opposite Riverside Theatre.
Thursday 29th August, 2019 visit the War Museum & Sydney Museum and afternoon tea at Sydney Museum with entry cost into the Sydney Museum $8.00. Details to be advised.
Thursday 26th September, 2019 train to Woy Woy with senior’s lunch at the Woy Woy Hotel opposite the station. Some members may prefer to go by car. Own cost with details to be advised.
2018 OUTINGS:-
For January Thursday 25th we will have lunch at Blacktown Sports Club at own cost. Put your name down on list if interested.
Thursday February 22nd the “Fun Boat” cruise at $45.00 each. Leaves at 10.45am from wharf across road from Star Casino. Name on list and money at January’s meeting.
Thursday March 22nd we’ll have a Hopkin’s coach trip to the Aircraft Restoration Society at Albion Park. With a buffet lunch at Illawarra Master Builder’s Club. Cost $65.00. Add your name to the list if interested. Coach leaves TS&BC at 8.15am.
Thursday April 26th we'll have a FREE BBQ [sausage sizzle] We would like to invite members to join in the Friendship, Fellowship & Fun on the day. It will be held at ‘Wren’ Reserve, Nurragingy, Doonside on Thursday 26th April, 2018 from 10.00am to whenever. We ask you just to bring your own tea & coffee, plates, knives & forks. We hope that members and friends will be able to make it with such short notice.

Thursday 24th May we are now going to Woy Woy by train with lunch at the Old Woy Woy Pub, at own expense. The trains leave from Strathfield Station at 2 mins to the hour and 2 mins before the half hour. If you aim for the 10.28am you'll get there around 11.30am plenty of time to meet at the Pub for mid day.

Thursday 28th June we are now going to Doyles at Watson's Bay, the Wharf Cafe, at own cost. We're aiming for the 10.30am ferry from Circular Quay.
Christmas in July - we have booked The Carrington Hotel at Katoomba for 26th July. Their 4 course Yulefest menu will cost $60.00 each and we get a complementary glass of Gluhwein (which is German mulled wine). We will travel there by train using our $2.50 Opal card, or you can drive yourself. Trains go from Blacktown Station every hour, aim for the 9.52am, and the trip takes around 1 hour. Put your name down on list!
Thursday 23rd August - We have a coach trip booked to the "Museum of Fire" at Penrith. Morning tea by the Nepean River and buffet lunch at the Penrith RSL Club. Cost $60 pp. This should be a very interesting outing, put your name down si you won't miss out.
SEPTEMBER 23RD TO 28TH - WANGARATTA, BEECHWORTH & BRIGHT
ALL-INCLUSIVE COACH TOUR
So far, we have 33 names down for this coach trip – more names are needed. We may have some Stanhope Gardens Probians interested in joining us. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the beautiful North East Region of Victoria, with this all-inclusive coach tour. Please see Elaine for more information.
The tour departs from Seven Hills Station on Sunday September 23rd and returns Friday 28th September 2018. We’ll be staying at the Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway which has a heated pool, spa, sauna & gymnasium, cocktail lounge & wine bar, and there is lift access to all rooms!
Thursday September 27th – While many were away at Wangaratta, John & Robert Donnelly were joined by 20 members who enjoyed the senior’s buffet lunch at the Blacktown Sports Club.
Thursday October 25th – We’ll be taking the Manly Ferry across our beautiful harbour. Aim for the 10.30am Ferry leaving from Circular Quay.
Melbourne Cup Function, Tuesday 6th November at the Toongabbie Sports & Bowling Club. Cost will be $42.50 for their special seafood buffet. Still time to put your name down and pay your money.
PAST 2017 OUTINGS:
The La Perouse/Kurnell coach tour for Thursday 25th May. This should be a very interesting tour as the area has significant historic value. Coach leaves TS&BC at 9.0am.
Titanic Exhibition – Moore Park – Monday 29th May we are going to this exhibition. Meet a Central Station outside the ticket barrier between 10.15am & 10.30am, the buses leave Eddie Ave for Moore Park. Tickets can be bought at the door.
22nd June ferry ride to Doyle’s, Watsons Bay, with lunch at the wharf café, at own expense. We’re travelling in by train & will meet at Circular Quay Wharf No. 4. There are 2 ferries one at 10.40am the other 11.10am.
27th July our “Christmas in July” on the Nepean Belle. Make your own way to the wharf at Penrith. The boat will leave at 12 noon, so arrive at 11.30. Car-pooling will be available, leaving from TS&BC. Advise Elaine if you need transport, also if you can take people in your car.
Tuesday 22nd August’s tour of the Mounted Police Headquarters, with Lunch at the Paddington RSL and a visit Vaucluse House. Elaine needs the names of those attending by July’s meeting because they need to be submitted before the tour. THIS TRIP HAS BEEN CANCELLED
CANCELLED – The Tuesday 22nd August’s coach tour of the Mounted Police Headquarters has been cancelled due to increased cost!
Instead we will now do a train trip to Woy Woy on Thursday 24th. Central Coast trains leave from Strathfield and we will meet there, train goes at 10.30am – SO BE THERE TO CATCH IT. We will have lunch at the Old Woy Woy Pub at own expense. Let Elaine know if you’re coming as she will book a table.
Thursday, September 28th we will catch the train to Parramatta, then transfer to the bus that goes at 10.00am to Sutherland, all for your $2.50 concession. It is an interesting bus route traversing Bankstown. We will have lunch at Sutherland before returning home on the bus.
Also on September 21st after our General Meeting and lunch at TS&BC, we’re looking at a game of “Bare Foot” Bowls starting at 2.00pm. Sounds like a bit of fun!
The Merimbula Coach holiday (Sunday 22nd October till Friday 27th) - Remember the balance is due at the August General meeting. The coach will leave from Seven Hills Station, at 8.00am. Try and get there 30 minutes before if possible.
The Melbourne Cup function - TS&BC on Tuesday 7th November starting at 11.00am. It will be a seafood buffet, $40.00 p.p. with fancy hat parade for ladies and best dressed competition for the men.
