SPRINGWOOD DISTRICT COMBINED
|
Welcome to the Springwood District Combined Probus Club
Why do people join Probus
Probus promotes social interaction amongst retired and semi-retired people, creating a sense of community. By joining this club, you:
- Stay socially connected;
- Establish new life-long friendships;
- Learn and stay informed through interesting guest speakers;
- Find support and encouragement from likeminded people;
- Have an avenue to share common interests; and
- Explore various locations domestically and internationally.
Do you think you might like to join us?
Come along as a visitor to a meeting. There will be a member at the door to meet and greet you. Prospective members can be a visitor at up to three events before deciding to join. You can complete a membership form and give it to the President or Membership Officer at a meeting.
If we have vacancies, we would be happy to consider your application. If we have no vacancies, then your name will be placed on the waiting list. You can download copy of the form from our website, here.
More information is available here.
The meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except December) at the Springwood Country Club, 84 Hawkesbury Road Springwood. They start at 10:30 am but it is best to arrive just after 10:00 am. After the formal part of the meeting, we usually have morning tea and then listen to a guest speaker. The meetings normally finish about 12:30pm. Some members then stay on for lunch at the club (and it's wise to book a table beforehand if you plan to do so).
Throughout the year we have day trips and longer tours planned. We also have several interest groups, such as scrabble, walking, games, dining out, book club and gardening. All details are published in the monthly newsletter that is emailed or posted to members.
