Despite the heavens opening and an outside temperature of eight degrees, nothing could have deterred our hardy Pakenham East Garden Group from Wednesday, 25th June, 2025 outing to Garden World in Braeside.
Well known horticulturalist, James Wall gave an hour of his time motivating us to create our own micro-environment for indoor beauties plus touching on the subjects of possum prevention and where and when to plant your vegies and flowering plants. James is a wealth of knowledge and is a regular on 3AW from 6.30 to 8.00 a.m..
The warm and inviting onsite café was the spot for lunch and a chat about our purchases. It’s difficult to resist taking home a plant or two (or three) from the amazing display. Thank you, Bruce, Merrilee (and Lynn) for organising the outing.
GARDEN OUTING - WEDNESDAY, 28TH MAY, 2025
Inclement weather does not deter our intrepid garden group members from getting out and about. Today’s adventure took us to The Plant Guy in Devon Meadows. Always on the lookout for something to add to our garden or patio, we were spoilt for choice. With our boots loaded with bargains, we headed to the Tooradin Sportsman’s Club for lunch. Thank you Bruce and Merrilee Pawley for organising another interesting outing.
