Ten Probians arrived at Novara foreshore on Tuesday 4th November to brave the weather and enjoy a walk alongside the Estuary on a bush path.  The smaller number of walkers may have been due to the fact that it was 'Melbourne Cup Day' and an early lunch was a better proposition. Others may have been deterred by the presence of a very large black cloud over Mandurah, together with the sound of thunder in the distance.   It was reasonably sunny when we set off, but the weather deteriorated until we were at the furthest point from the car park.  Then heavy rain began, ensuring a brisk pace back to our vehicles.
