At our General monthly meetings we are privileged to have a guest speaker who is happy to come along and give a talk on their particular vocation or special interest. Whether it be travel, environmental issues, charities, political, professions, sports, writers, adventurers etc, we can be sure that whatever their choice of subject is, we will always be treated to a very informative and interesting presentation.

Speaker: Darren Reynolds

Title: Every Daughter Matters

Darren was first impacted by the reality of human trafficking in 2006 when he met a young girl who had been rescued from abuse and exploitation in Cambodia. The fact that his own daughter was the same age made it personal. Darren subsequently left an eighteen-year career in audio production to work in the not-for-profit sector, work that has taken him to Cambodia and Thailand where he was involved in undercover human trafficking rescue operations and, more recently, to Nepal where he was able to visit a number of interception booths, emergency shelters and safe homes run by Every Daughter Matters. Darren is Head of Engagement for Every Daughter Matters.

Whilst Darren’s presentations address the horrific reality of modern slavery and human trafficking, they will also relay information about the work being done by Australians to rescue, intercept and restore precious young lives.
