At our General monthly meetings we are privileged to have a guest speaker who is happy to come along and give a talk on their particular vocation or special interest. Whether it be travel, environmental issues, charities, political, professions, sports, writers, adventurers etc, we can be sure that whatever their choice of subject is, we will always be treated to a very informative and interesting presentation.

Casey Mihovilovich – CEO of the City of Mandurah

                                                      Mandurah has a Village Heart

Casey’s presentation included  background on her personal experience as she worked towards achieving her current position as CEO of the City of Mandurah.

She outlined three of the City’s Key Projects: The Strategic Community Plan, The Economy, and an Aged Care Training and Workplace Centre of Innovation.

Casey explained that the City is particularly focused on the principle of ‘Built in Nature, not Built on Nature’ as she talked about the importance of eco-tourism in Yalgorup National Park.
