Jack Roney is a Queensland crime fiction author and former detective. He draws on 33 years’ experience as a police officer to immerse his readers in fast-paced gritty crime thrillers and mysteries. His novel ‘The Ghost Train & The Scarlet Moon’ was runner-up in the Hawkeye Publishing Prize. Book 1 of his Detective Jarrod O’Connor series ‘The Angels Wept’ was shortlisted in the Watpad Awards. His upcoming novel ‘Black Gully’ was shortlisted in the Plaza Crime Prize (UK) and the Hawkeye Prize. His short stories have been published in various anthologies and magazines. He co-hosts the Genre Fiction Podcast and is studying a Masters in Writing Editing Publishing at University of Queensland.
