Friday 27 October: Our AT/Gold Card ferry trip to Waiheke IS. 6 Hardy souls braved the weather for a calm crossing and a much better day than expected,. Sorry to have missed it....
Friday 22 September: Abbots Coach trip to Warkworth. We had a leisurely stroll around the village stopping for coffee, the an enjoyable lunch at Landmark Hotel.
Friday 25 August: 'The Miracle Club' Movie at the Lido entertained 12 of our members who also enjoyed lunch at Eve's Pantry afterwards
Friday 28 July: Visy Recycling gave us an enlightening and informative overview of their processing system, do's and don'ts of recycling and ways of reducing our contribution to landfill. Lunch at the Onehunga Club was a mid winter feast for our group of 21
Friday 23 June: Our MOTAT visit included a talk on the development of war time and later aviation development in NZ, amid the amazing display of vintage aircraft. We enjoyed lunch at 'Steamed' and meandered round the other displays of historic technology
Friday 26 May: Abbot's coach carried us to Howick Historical Village for an introductory talk and a leisurely stroll around the village in bright sunshine. How comfortable our live are in contrast to the early Fencibles and their families. Some of us enjoyed a picnic in the beautifully kept grounds while others made the most of the Cafe.
Friday 28 April. 20 of us spent an enjoyable few hours strolling round the Auckland Zoo. The innovative changes impressed and although some animals were rather shy, we did see a wonderful variety and heard some interesting talks and demonstrations
Friday 24 March: Shorebirds at Miranda. We enjoyed a van ride via Mangatangi to the Naturalist Centre and a fascinating talk on local and migratory birdlife around the area. Then a ride back to the hides on the Firth of Thames for a closer look at the many species that find abundant food along the shore. Fish'n'Chips at Kaiaua and a scenic trip home finished a glorious day in a pristine habitat.

Friday 20 January: 26 members enjoyed morning tea at Eden Gardens. a stroll around the extensive and shady garden paths at our own pace, then back for lunch at the cafe. After 2 months since our last meeting it was a beautiful day for the visit to this inner city oasis and a good chance to catch up with one another after the holiday break.
