Margaret Adams |
||
Received Life Membership in December 2023 |
Margaret Adams has been a member of our club since June 1998. Our club was much smaller then, 60 members in all. She assisted with the collection of payment and hand wrote receipts, which had to balance at the end of the meeting and she proudly admits to never being out! She has served as welfare officer, demonstrating genuine concern for the members in need of a friendly chat. She is consistent with her attendance at meetings, very rarely missing one, and supportive of club activities. She has also been instrumental in introducing new members, who have gone on to serve on the committee. |

Joyce Offereins |
||
Received Life Membersip in 2014 |
Before joining Probus in 1989, Joyce was a high school teacher. Joyce, a foundation member of Baulkham Hills Ladies Probus Club in 1989, was on the first committee as treasurer, despite admitting that maths was her worst subject at school. She has held all positions on the committee except secretary, including being our third President and Membership Officer for many years. When asked what does she enjoy about Probus, Joyce's reply was... "the way people mix". She enjoys the fellowship that Probus offers and in the earlier years, at Probus, participated in, and enjoyed the many interest groups offered. |

Heather Watson |
||
Received Life Membersip in 2014 |
Heather Watson joined our club in 1992 and held the position of President and Past President. Heather was a very active member of our club, regularly enjoying many of the activities offered and recruiting many new members. In her spare time, she loved to cook and was very successful, winning prizes at both the Castle Hill Show and the Royal Easter Show. Obviously very talented, Heather made the club banner which hung for many, many years on the lectern during our general meetings. Heather passed away in January 2018. |
