Trip to Oberon on 1st November 2024
Started of with a perfect day to visit Oberon and probably most of us have been there before but not noticed the places Barbara Webb had organized for us to see. The rodadendrums on the way in were beautiful and we then proceeded to the garden and appreciated the amount of work to set this up and keep it in top condition. On to the library viewing the historical tapestries, one of which Barbara had done some of the work.
Lunch was at the Big Trout motel for a great chinese lunch then on to the Common where replicas of the tapestries were in the paths. Lastly some retail therapy at the Christmas shop. A really nice day. Thank you to Barbara and Margaret for organizing the event. Written by Bev Mooney. Photos also provided by Bev.
Barbara Webb worked on this tapestry with members of her group.
