Our outing was to the O'Connell Hotel for lunch where the ladies enjoyed a tasty country-style pub meal. After our meal we were very fortunate to have a guest speaker, Trish Forsyth, speak to us about the pub's history and also the histroy of the village. The hotel was built in 1865 and is a popular meeting place for locals. The church cemetery has memorials as early as 1835. It was pleasant afternoon enjoying one anothers company and learning about our local history.
