Welcome to the Grovedale Marshall Probus Club 

 

The Grovedale Marshall Probus Club holds a General Meeting on the second Thursday of each month commencing at 10.00am at The Grovedale Community Hub, 45 Heyers Road, Grovedale. 3216.  Plenty of off-street parking is available at the rear of the Centre.

Included in this meeting are reports on the activities of the club held in the last month, plus events planned for the coming months where applicable.  Visitors are welcome at this meeting, but it is appreciated if visitors inform Viv Buchanan, Membership Officer on 0458 288 504 or email her on [email protected] of their intention, to allow for adequate checking-in and seating.

At the conclusion of the formal part of the meeting we break for morning tea at which members enjoy the company of fellow members over coffee, tea, slices and savouries.

Following morning tea, we have a presentation by our guest speaker of the day or other pre-arranged activity.

The meeting normally concludes around 12 noon when many of the club members depart to attend a lunch at a pre-arranged restaurant. These restaurants are chosen for their ability to host at least 25 people and are either reasonably priced or have luncheon or pensioner specials.

Important Procedures

  • If you cannot attend a meeting, please contact the Secretary or Membership Officer with your apology, preferably by email to [email protected]  (put ‘apology’ or ‘meeting apology’ as the subject)  
  • If you need to leave the meeting early, please advise the membership officer, when you arrive and sign out when you leave indicating the time of your departure 
  • In the event of illness, members are encouraged to contact either the President or the Welfare Officer. 
  • Only fully paid-up members are allowed to second motions and vote at meetings.

Annual General Meeting    Our  Annual General Meeting is held in March each year where voting takes place to elect a new committee.

Speakers   Our guest speakers cover a wide range of interesting and informative subjects, carefully selected to match the interests of our members.
