The Glorious Days of 1913

Go back in time to 1913 and immerse yourself in the glory days of Australia.

It was a time of tremendous optimism, culture and high standard of living. Plus, the Australian navy was a new source of national pride.

It was described as a hinge year, the year when people embraced the modern world of cars, planes and cinema, and Glorious Days celebrates it all.

The exhibition features beautiful artworks, costumes, music and newsreel footage. It covers sport and leisure, the building of a nation, the Australasian empire and the Australian defence network.

Look back over the past 100 years and see how much, or how little, society has changed.
