Never Neverland
The Western Australian Ballet are reviving J.M Barrie’s beloved classic novel, Peter Pan. Having previously performed the enchanting ballet in 2013, the company is returning to the stage with a new cast, and a fresh perspective on the timeless story. Taking place at His Majesty’s Theatre and accompanied by the West Australian Philharmonic Orchestra, the production promises to be utterly magical.

Relating to our environment
A selection of the works of one of the world’s most renowned nature photographers, Peter Dombrovskis, are on display at the National Library of Australia. Dombrovskis was the first Australian to be inducted to the International Photography Hall of Fame, and his beguiling photographs of the Australian wilderness, particularly Tasmania, have been credited with changing the way many Australians relate to the environment. In addition to exhibiting some of his most famous works, the National Gallery are also offering free tours, with experienced guides sharing the fascinating stories behind the photographs.

Cross cultural collaborations
Noman Art Gallery specialises in limited edition prints and collections of art from Contemporary Australian Artists and Aboriginal Art Centres in Northern Australia, with a focus on cross cultural collaborations. In December, the gallery is displaying new work by renowned local artists Jacqueline Gribbin, Anne McMaster and Winsome Jobling. Meanwhile, in the stockroom you can find a collection of framed prints which are reduced for the months of December and January.
