RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride
25 Oct 2013
Nine-day cycle anyone?
Celebrate the thirtieth year of the RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride and cycle the iconic Great Ocean Road.
Every year, more than 5000 people take part in the ride. About half are active retirees and the oldest on the annual bike ride is usually over the age of 80.
The 610 kilometre nine-day bike touring holiday will feature the dramatic rock formations of the Twelve Apostles, the picture postcard Otway Ranges rainforest on the Turtons Track, and the chance to slow down for a swim at world-famous beaches like Lorne, Torquay and Bells.
Those who can’t get away for the week but still want to be part of the fun can join the three-day RACV Great Vic Getaway from Gellibrand to Geelong. If you are after just a taste of the event, join the one-day RACV Great Vic Community Ride from Torquay to Geelong.
The nine-day ride is fully catered with extensive backup including luggage transport, a licensed cafe, full medical team and bicycle repair facilities.
