The Bodyguard hits the stage

Based on the smash-hit Warner Bros 1992 film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard has been transformed into an award-winning musical. It features one of Australia’s finest vocalists and performers, Paulini (of Australian Idol fame), in the leading role of Rachel Marron.

Producer John Frost said he knew Paulini was his leading lady the moment she walked into the audition.

“When Paulini came into the audition room and sang those Whitney Houston hits, we knew she was born to be our leading lady,” he said. “The Bodyguard has been a huge hit everywhere it has played since its 2012 world premiere in London – I have no doubt Australia will fall in love with this iconic story and those soaring ballads all over again.”

The 2017 tour will commence at the Sydney Lyric Theatre on 22 April 2017, before playing at the Lyric Theatre at QPAC in Brisbane from July and the Regent Theatre in Melbourne from August.

A QUEST FOR LIFE

Sir David Attenborough, arguably the word’s best-known natural history filmmaker and much-loved naturalist and broadcaster whose career has spanned nearly six decades, will be joining Ray Martin for a limited number of live shows this February. 

Sir David Attenborough – A Quest for Life will cover a career dedicated to the natural world, the changes he has witnessed since first filming Zoo Quest in the 1950s right up to today, as well as the environmental challenges the world now faces.
