Outings

In addition to our Club meeting day, we have a social outing once a month – either a coffee morning or a day trip, sometimes both.  On the 2nd Monday of each month members gather at a cafe somewhere around the city for a chat and catch-up.

Venues visited include; Columbus at Mitre10 Papanui, Ilex Café Botanical Gardens, Saturday’s Café, He Puna Taimoana New Brighton Hot Pools, The Café at Portstone Nursery, Foundation Café Turanga Central Library, Willowbank Cafe, Raewood Cafe, and many, many others.

All members are encouraged to bring along friends to join in the chat and fun at the Coffee Meetings. These events are self-funding, i.e., if there are costs, we each pay our own way.

We continually seek new and interesting places to visit. Members wishing to suggest such places should contact any committee member.

Past Outings

In 2022 we visited a modern day dairy farm at Burnham. It was interesting to hear about the automation and technology used on farms today.

Recently we visited the wonderful Te Pai Convention Centre. Our conducted tour gave us insight into the amazing features of this world-class facility.
