Formed in May 1998, Russley Probus celebrated its 25th anniversary in May 2023 - a wonderful milestone to have been achieved!

We offer a range of activities including trips and outings for members to enjoy, depending on their interests, lifestyle and location. Probus Club members meet monthly, to enjoy the company of like-minded fellow retirees and listen to interesting guest speakers. We also have regular monthly social coffee meetings at cafes around Christchurch, and ad-hoc day trips and outings. One of the advantages of belonging to a Probus Club is that it is all about fun, friendship, and fellowship with fellow retirees. 

As our Founding President commented recently, ''The longer trips have been a major contribution towards the special developing Russley culture which is well known outside the club'.

Probus Clubs are neither service or fundraising entities. Our main source of income is from the annual membership fee. Russley Probus is currently sponsored by The Russley Retirement Village and by Bayleys - Team Glassey. Any sponsorship is acknowledged in our monthly newsletter “In Touch” and via our intro PowerPoint at our meetings.
