Activities
Our Club has a wide range of activities to satisfy the most discerning member: from sausage sizzles to fine dining luncheons to a casual early evening dine out; coffee mornings, luncheons and theatre outings; mahjong to bingo; ten-pin bowling, mystery or day bus trips to interesting places; a four to seven-day annual bus tour intra or interstate or a seven-day cruise n Australian or international waters; book, cards, movie and breakfast clubs, a discussion group, a craft group, and linedancing. We invite member's spouses, partners and friends to attend these activities. Do as much or as little as you care to. All activities are advertised in the Club's monthly Newsletter and ‘Month at a Glance’ Calendar and promoted at its General Meetings.
All activities and outings are for members enjoyment and are costed at reasonable rates or on a pay-on-the-day basis.
The following is a schedule of our regular monthly activities:
Mondays:
Line Dancing Every Monday at 3:30pm at Labrador
Bingo Every Monday at 1:30pm at Southport
Movies Second Monday each month at Harbour Town, followed by lunch
Tuesdays:
Coffee ‘n Chat Second Tuesday at 10:00am at a local café
Christmas Lunch Second Tuesday of December at 12:00pm at a local venue
Luncheon Third Tuesday at a local bistro or tavern or a lunch or seafood buffet
cruise on Gold Coast waterways or Brisbane River
Day Bus Trip In lieu of some monthly luncheons on the third Tuesday, Members
travel by coach for the day to places of interest in south-east
Queensland and northern New South Wales. Occasionally these trips
are Mystery Bus Trips when only the coach driver and possibly the
event co-ordinators know the destination
Wednesdays:
Evening Dine Out First Wednesday at 6:00pm at a local bistro or tavern
Book Club Second Wednesday at 10:00am at Runaway Bay
Ten-Pin Bowling Last Wednesday at 09:40am at Ashmore, followed by lunch
Fine Dining Luncheon on a Wednesday [or Friday] quarterly at a popular local restaurant
Thursdays:
Mahjong Every Thursday at 09:30am at Runaway Bay
Men’s Coffee Last Thursday at 10:00am at Paradise Point
Line Dancing Every Thursday at 11:00am at Helensvale
Cards First and Third Thursdays at 1:00pm at Biggera Waters
Fridays:
Breakfast Third Friday at 08:30am at a local cafe
Craft Second Friday at 10:00am at Coombabah
Various
Theatre Matinee and Evening Performances throughout the year at theatres at Ashmore,
Southport and QPAC Brisbane

Special Events
Amongst others, these typically include functions for Christmas in July, an annual celebratory Probus Day event, Melbourne Cup as well as the Club's Christmas party in December and Club milestone anniversaries.
Tours
Each year the Club organises one or more extended coach or rail trips or a cruise of two to seven days.
Gold Coast and Northern Rivers Probus Association [GCNR]
The Club is affiliated with the Association. Members of the Club are also able to participate in the Association's events.
