Activities

Our Club has a wide range of activities to satisfy the most discerning member: from sausage sizzles to fine dining, coffee mornings to theatre outings, mahjong to bingo, ten-pin bowling to mini-golf, mystery or day bus trips to interesting places, book and movie clubs and a craft group.   We invite member's spouses, partners and guests to attend these social functions.  All activities are adveritised in the Club's monthly Newsletter and promoted at its General Meetings. 

All activities and outings are for members enjoyment and are costed at reasonable rates.

The following is a schedule of our regular monthly activities:  

• Coffee ‘n Chat             Second Tuesday morning of each month at a local café

• Luncheon                    Third Tuesday morning of each month at a local bistro or tavern or a 

•                                     lunch or seafood buffet cruise on Gold Coast or Brisbane waterways.

• Day Bus Trip               In lieu of some monthly luncheons on the third Tuesday, Members

•                                     travel by coach for the day to places of interest in south-east

•                                     Queensland and northern New South Wales.  Occasionally these trips

•                                     are Mystery Bus Trips when only the coach driver knows the

•                                     destination.

• Theatre                       Numerous productions at Gold Coast and Brisbane theatres

• Mahjong                      Each Thursday morning at Runaway Bay

• Men’s Coffee               Last Thursday morning of each month at a local café

• Fine Dining                  Luncheon on a Wednesday or a Friday quarterly, generally in March
  

•                                     June and September, at popular local restaurants

• Evening Dine Out        Second Wednesday evening of each month at a local bistro or tavern

• Book Club                    Second Wednesday morning of each month at Runaway Bay

• Mini-Golf                     First Wednesday morning of each month at Parkwood, followed by lunch

• Ten-Pin Bowling         Last Wednesday morning of each month at Ashmore, followed by lunch

• Walk and Coffee         Fourth Thursday of each month at Paradise Point

• Book Club                   Second Wednesday morning of each month at Hollywell

• Craft Group                 Second Friday morning of each month

• Movie Club                  Second Monday morning of each month at Harbour Town.  Optional

•                                     lunch follows the movie.                      

• Bingo                           Each Monday afternoon at a local Bowl’s Club                        
  

Special Events 

Amongst others, these typically include functions for Christmas in July, an annual celebratory Probus Day event, Melbourne Cup as well as the Club's Christmas party on the first Tuesday of December and Club milestone anniversaries.

Tours 

Each year the Club organises one or more extended coach or rail trips or a cruise of two to seven days.

Gold Coast and Northern Rivers Probus Association [GCNR] 

The Club is affiliated with the Association.  Members of the Club are also able to participate in the Association's events.
