Purpose of Probus
The basic purpose of a Probus Club is to provide regular meetings and fellowship for those retired and semi-retired persons who appreciate and value opportunities to meet others of a similar interest, enjoy hearing addresses by guest speakers on topical subjects and visiting places and organisations of specific appeal to members.
The activities of Probus Clubs are directed primarily towards providing fellowship, the development of acquaintances and active participation in the Club's activities at a minimum cost to members.
Many members will find that they have similar interests such as:- golf, bowls, fishing, gardening, cards, music, theatre or photography. The list could go on and on.
Your Probus Club will give you the opportunity to form interest groups and get together between General Meetings to pursue your interests.
