KEITH MATTHEW WARNOCK OAM  

 

AUSTRALIA DAY 2013 HONOURS LIST

 

Our Esteemed Life Member Keith Warnock was awared a Medal (OAM) of the Order of Australia in the 2013 Australia Day Honours List in recognition for his service to the community of Holroyd.

 

Our Club was indeed privileged to have been asked to support Keith's nomination for such an award.

 

Many would not be aware of his background and it is with much pleasure and delight that this accolade is penned for Keith.

 

Keith was part of the steering committee to found the Probus Club of Holroyd and, on 9th September 1986, became one of the club's nineteen foundation members.

He served from 1997 to 2003 on the Outings and Tours Committee assisting with arranging day outings and extended tours.  From 2003 Keith has assisted the Club's Treasurer in the collection of member's funds relating to club activities.  He continues faithfully in this role today. 

 

Keith was awarded Life Membership  of our club on 9th September 2008 in recognition of his long and dedicated serviice to the club.

Honorary Director Board of Advice, Charles Wentworth Hospital.

Honorary Director, Holroyd Community Building Society.

Director, Southern Districts-Holroyd Co-operative Housing Society .

Director, Southern Districts Starr-Bowkett Co-operative Building Society.

Director, Merrylands Co-operative Housing Society.

Director, Holroyd Credit Union. 

 

At our club meeting held on 12th February, 2013, our President, Arthur Watson, extended the congratulations and the well wishes of all club members to Keith on his receiving this most prestigious award.

 

Keith was presented with his Medal at a presentation at Government House.
