From the President I do hope that everyone had a safe, healthy and enjoyable Easter and were able to spend quality time with family and friends.

I will be attending a Probus Information and partner day in the near term. These days are designed to provide valuable guidance on a range of topics including membership retention and growth, leadership, succession planning, promotion and publicity.

Our inaugural Amalgamation lunch to celebrate the first anniversary of the very successful combining of two Probus clubs has just been held and was attended by 34 members.

We have received from PSPL the new proposed constitution and recommended standing resolutions. A small committee has been formed to review these proposals and they will be put to the members for ratification in due course after analysis.

There are still a vacancies on the management committee to ensure the smooth running of the club. The commitments are neither onerous nor time consuming but are essential to enable the club to continue to expand the range of outings and activities for the enjoyment of members.

We are still looking to expand our membership and especially need younger retirees to ensure the club continues to be viable long into the future, I ask you to reach out to friends that may be recently retired to consider attending a meeting.
