From the President,

It was with great sadness that recently we learnt of the passing of Mrs Val Harvey. Val was a great supporter of the club and a very popular member. Her husband was an ex- President and long term member of the club. She will be sadly missed.

Our constitutional review committee has reported back to a recent committee meeting. The PSPL recommended content has been found on balance to be suitable and the necessary resolution will be put to all members at an extraordinary general meeting to be held directly after the December meeting. The necessary notices will be circulated in November. The PSPL suggested consequential standing resolutions are still under discussion. They appear on the surface to be consistent with those currently adopted subject to some minor changes.

The results of the survey have been discussed and decided to increase the scope of outings to include Opal card days, theatre and movie outings and additional coffee mornings. It is expected that opal days will be done quarterly. Convenors are still required for theatre, movie outings and coffee mornings. Monthly day trips, excursions and outings will recommence in the new year.

Just a reminder that the Xmas lunch will be held at the Hills Lodge on Tuesday 2nd December, commencing at 12noon. The cost will be $89 per person. The formal notice has been issued. Please advise your attendance no later than the November meeting. Peter Evans President
