Making a Contribution to our Club in 2025-26

It is now time for members to think about how they can make a contribution to our club for the next Probus year which commences in April 2025.    

Please consider the following:

1. Nominating for a Position on the

All positions, except for the Immediate Past President, will eventually be declared vacant for the next Probus year.

Nominations for next year's Committee will be invited soon and will close at the end of the February 2025 General Meeting.  

There are always current committee members who will decide that they will not be renominating for the next Probus year.  Shortly, a list of positions that will not be covered will be announced and also published.   This year we did not have a committee member to oversee Trips and Outings.

Roles currently covered by Committee Members include:

President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Caring Officer, Safety Officer, Immediate Past President, Club Membership and Records.

You can access and print a nomination form here or collect one at a future meeting.

2. Taking on a Role or Assisting with a Role Outside the Committee

There are lots of roles and responsibilities outside the Management Committee where members can contribute to the running of the Club.   

A Sign Up sheet will be available soon like this one here which shows the initials of the current members in the various roles. 

This sheet will be available for several General Meetings, so please consider roles you might like to undertake hence keeping our club viable.

3.  Being a Club Activity Leader or Assisting with a Club Activity

Maybe you can run or assist with one of the many scheduled Club Activities.  

A Sign Up sheet for Club Activity Leaders will also be available like this one here for several General Meetings.  

Maybe you would like to initiate a new activity.  If so, you will need to run it past the current committee first and then guage the level of interest among members.  An Interst Sheet will be soon be available for the following possible new activities:  Meditation, Bridge, Cribbage.
