For our 43rd birthday celebrations - we will be entertained by 5 members of the WA Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
Following the usual Club business, there will be a Morning Tea Break. From 11am to 12 noon the G&S will provide entertainment. A buffet finger lunch will be provider through the courtesy of members. An opportunity to enjoy fellowship.

October 15
The speaker was Cyril Ayris who was a journalist on the West Australian for 36 years. He gave a light-hearted look into his days as a journalist during WW2. Also a facinating insight into early communication systems in WA.

17th September
the speaker will be Graham McKenzie-Smith who will be talking about the Defence Heritage of Western Australia, Associated with WW2. He has an Order of Australia for his work in Military History.

the speaker was Hamish McGlashan who spoke about the early explorers of the Kimberley. History, settlements and the 1837-38 expedition of George Grey.

Rob Rippingale …A retired academic researcher and lecturer of Biology who was based at Curtin University.
The talk is- The life, times and influence of Thomas Huxley,19th century biologist who supported and promoted the ideas of Charles Darwin.

Donald's talk wa entitled --'Evidence for Ancient Civilizations with advance knowledge and technology'.

May 21st - Karen Slater from FREETHEBEARS.
This is a not-for-profit, Perth-based organisation, that started over 30 years ago to rescue Sun and Moon bears from cruelty in some Asian countries.

16th April - Dr. Dan Carter
Dan spoke about the birds that live in, and pass through, our local bushland. Dan has written a guidebook Birds of Jirdarup, with photographs and detailed descriptions of the birds.
As the club’s April meeting was held at the Harold Rossiter Park meeting room.
Harold Rossiter represented Carlisle Ward as a Perth City Councillor from 1964 to 1970. He used to own a grocery store opposite the Park.
