Broadway sensation, Beautiful: the Carole King Musical opens July 13 at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC in Brisbane.
In the 1960s, hundreds of songwriters followed their dreams to 1650 Broadway and the Brill building in hope of writing a hit for the biggest acts in the industry. At 16, Carole King was one of those writers. Beautiful tells the inspirational true story of her remarkable rise from teenage songwriter to global superstar and features over 30 incredible hits from this great songwriting era.

National Tree Day
Get a group of green thumbs organised for National Tree Day on July 29. The day is an opportunity to do something positive for the environment and your local community; organise a tree planting party or morning tea and help in greening the countryside.
National Tree Day started in 1996 and since then more than 3.8 million people have planted 24 million trees and plants and it's still growing.
