Bush Country Voices

Loss is an exhibition exploring the impact of leaving a homeland, by those who have. Each of the artists featured in this exhibition are from Western Sydney and have a practice that explores the reasons, impacts and losses of leaving their homelands. They comment, from their own experiences, on difficult topics including war, torture, stolen generation and offer personal insights into reconnecting with culture, home, family, and friends.

Beginner’s Photography Class

Ocean Film Festival World Tour 2021

Designed to mesmerise and enthral, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour showcases a three-hour celebration of our oceans comprised of sublime footage taken above and below the water’s surface. This unique collection of short films from around the globe document the beauty and power of the ocean, and celebrate the divers, surfers, swimmers and oceanographers who live for the sea’s salt spray; who chase the crests of waves; and who marvel at the mysteries of the big blue.

Dark Mofo

Dark Mofo, Mona’s midwinter festival in Tasmania, delves into centuries-old winter solstice rituals. Dark Mofo 2021 is a city-wide cultural festival offering one vibrant week of engaging public art, live music, performances, and heady nocturnal revelry, exploring the links between ancient and contemporary mythology, humans and nature, religious and secular traditions, darkness and light, and birth, death and renewal.

Peril in the Parliament

A brand new Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) experience for groups – part whodunit, part riddle room at Old Parliament House after dark!
