From a seniors’ expo and an ageing forum to a new art exhibition, there is plenty to discover this November.
Melbourne Seniors and Disability Expo
Taking place at Melbourne Exhibition Centre on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, the “My Future, My Choice” Melbourne Seniors and Disability Expo is a must for Melburnians looking for better ways to improve the quality of their lives, now and for the future.
Over 200 providers under one roof will be exhibiting assistive technology, mobility aids, medical and support services, long-term care options, and a variety of financial, travel, sport, lifestyle and leisure options for seniors.
To kick off the entertainment for the Expo will be The Treblettes, a sassy vocal trio from Melbourne, performing iconic songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s including: The Andrews Sisters, The Beatles, The Platters, The Supremes, Bobby Day, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Dusty Springfield and Elvis Presley. Sing along to beloved classics including “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “Stop! In The Name Of Love”.
The Treblettes will perform three times on both Friday and Saturday and will mingle with Expo-goers between sets. A series of free workshops and talks will also take place over the two days.

KAWS: PLAYTIME
Spend a day out with the grandkids at NGV International exploring KAWS: PLAYTIME – a rich sensory experience welcoming kids and families. The playroom features a range of activities that encourage thoughtful multimedia interaction including using different features to create a video portrait, drawing images of friends and a special take-home kit to continue playtime in the home.

Seniors Week in Perth
Perth Seniors Week kicks off on November 10 and runs for seven days with plenty to do for WA seniors. The main event is Have a Go Day on November 13 where seniors can head to Burswood Park and see a load of entertainment and try new activities.

Healthy Ageing Forum
Queensland’s Council of the Ageing invites writer and anti-ageism expert Ashton Applewhite to address the issues around ageing and to promote a healthy attitude to getting old. Guests can also have input into Queensland’s ageing issues.
