March Walk- Enfield To Canterbury Via Cooks River Walkway
Date: Tuesday 11th March 2025
Distance: About 5.3 km.
Walking Time: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours
Grading: Moderate to easy. Level walkways along the Cooks River
Time: I will be catching the 09:06 train from Beecroft to Strathfield
Travel Options: Train, Coffee, bus, walk, lunch, then #418 bus from Crinan St near RSL Club, then train home from Burwood station.
The walk:
We will have a coffee at the Barone Café in Strathfield Square, then catch the 415bus from stand G in Albert St. The bus stop we get off at is near the end of Coronation Parade before Georges River road. From here we cross Georges River road and join the pathway towards Canterbury. This will take us all the way into Canterbury, and then on to the
Canterbury and Hurlston Park RSL for lunch.
There are some toilets on the walk along the river if needed.
