About Us

Our Club was formed in 1996 to meet the immediate need for a Combined gender Probus Club to service the many women and men from all walks of life of Wonthaggi and the surrounding areas of the Bass Coast Region.

Our Club is purely a social club and our Committee and Activity coordinators are all volunteers and as such our club is run on a not for profit basis and we do not fundraise.

In addition to Wonthaggi we have members from Archies Creek, Bass, Cape Paterson, Cape Woolamai, Dalyston, Inverloch, Kernot, Kilcunda, Ryanston, and Wattle Bank.

Increasingly we are enrolling new members from Melbourne and Suburbs and other country areas attracted by our Bass Coast and hinterland regions natural beauty, local facilities and amenities.

Member ages vary greatly and as we are actively recruiting we welcome new members and particulalry younger members from all walks of life and life skills.

We all enjoy a wide range of regular activities (and we're always adding more) offered by our club and dedicated Activity coordinators.

Most activities cater for a range of different fitness and mobility levels.

In keeping with that Aussie Country ethos new members will always be made to feel very welcome to our Club and we invite and encourage you to join us, enjoy the fun, fellowship and friendship which Probus promotes.
