The committee has decided to give a $10 discount to current financial members on their fees for the 2024/2025 year. Therefore, the membership fee for current members will be $50 and is payable by the April meeting.
Members inducted from February 2024 onwards will pay the full fee of $60 (or pro-rata from July 2024).
Visitors will be asked to pay $5 for each meeting they attend.
13/02/2023
At the February meeting, a motion was moved and passed to change our fee structure. For the year from 1 April 2023 our annual fee will be $60 which includes both membership fee and attendance fee. This will be ratified at the AGM in March 2023.
From April, members will not need to pay $4 when they attend a meeting as this will be covered by their annual fee. Members will still need to get their name marked off both for Probus insurance records and for the club's payment to The Fraternity Club.
Visitors will be asked to pay $5 for each meeting they attend.

30th birthday luncheon will now be celebrated on Monday 9th May at The Fraternity Club.
At our AGM, we welcomed 3 new committee members - Val Ling for membership, Jan Sanden for welfare and Mary O'Sullivan as vice president. Denise Hallett agreed to serve as our president for another year, seeing 2021 was so disrupted. A big thank you to Veronica Vanzinnen, Anne Lawler and Margaret Formigoni who stepped down from the committee this year.

Our Birthday Luncheon has again been postponed. We felt that 14 February could still be a problem because of the ongoing COVID situation which is creating anxiety for many of our members. The committee will be meeting next week to look at alternative dates. Last November was the 30th anniversary of this clubs formation, so we do want to celebrate this special milestone.
18/10/2021
Our first meeting back after lockdown restrictions have eased will be Monday 8th November at 10am at The Fraternity Club. Normally we have out birthday luncheon in November, but this has been postponed until February 2022 due to uncertainty about restrictions at this time.

We had 3 new committee members appointed at the AGM - Joy Banks and Anne Moore are looking after Performing Arts and Ruth Scargill is Assistant Treasurer. We welcomed Denise Hallett as our president for 2021/22 but we are still looking for a vice president. A big vote of thanks to retiring committee members - Elaine Charker, Elaine McDermott and Rae Barrett-Foye for their contribution to the committee and to our members.
The great news is that Elaine Charker will still be calling our members on their birthday for a wonderful renidition of Happy Birthday!!

August and September and October meetings were well attended - we were even able to have a guest speaker in October. In November, we will be having our birthday luncheon so there is no regular meeting but we will be back on 14 December for our last meeting for the year. We'd like to thank The Fraternity Club at Fairy Meadow for their support in allowing us to meet in a covid safe environment.
27/07/2020
We held our July meeting at the Fraternity Club on 13/07/2020 with 45 members present. Members are ecouraged only to attend the meeting if they are comfortable and well. No apologies required for non attendance.
At this stage, we hope to hold our August meeting at the Fraternity Club on Monday 10th August. Once again, if you are not comfortable coming to the club or being around other ladies at this stage, that's fine - your health and safety are our prime concern.

All members will be sent this letter by email or snail mail by next week:
Due to the unprecedented and unpredictable situation unfolding with COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our monthly meetings until the second half of this year.
To slow the spread of the virus, we are advised to keep a distance of 1.5m between each other whenever possible. This would be difficult at our meetings, so to protect everyone's health, the meetings are cancelled. However, there will be some committee members at the Fraternity club having coffee on scheduled meeting mornings if you want to join us for a cuppa or make payments for shows/outings or membership fees.
The Walking Group will continue to do their walks with great vigor.
All lunches are cancelled until further notice.
The tour to Nambucca Heads has been postponed until 19th October 2020.
The upcoming tour of Mt Keira Scout Camp will go ahead as there is no train travel involved but the tours to Barangaroo and Cockatoo Island are postponed until a future date. Anyone who has paid for these tours will be refunded.
We have not yet been advised of any shows being cancelled, but if that happens we will let you know and organise a refund of the full ticket price.
The Fraternity Club has divided the downstairs area of the club into 3 sections: the Bistro, Il Bene and the gambling area; these sections will be monitored so as to ensure that only 100 people are in each section. As our Coffee mornings are on a Monday morning the management feels that there shouldn’t be an issue with numbers.
Our concern now is that our members may be "stuck at home" and missing the company of others. So, if that's the case for you, please call one of the Committee for a chat, or if you don't have to self-isolate, to organise a coffee with us or a friend.
