Windsor Probus Club

Windsor Probus started in May of 2015, for fun fellowship and friendship Probus is an outreach of Rotary and our group began from a letterbox drop, conducted by Rotary members, which advertised a meeting for interested people. The meeting was well attended and Windsor Probus began.

The first two or three meetings were attended by members of Rotary who then passed it over to Windsor Probus Club entirely as they could see that we were up and running!

In the early days, committee meetings were held in the Presidents home at night, to accommodate committee members. We have come a long way since then.

The Clubs General meetings were held in the Windsor Country Golf Club, until flood damage closed the venue. Since then our meetings have been held in the Windsor RSL Club in Argyle Street Windsor, the first Wednesday of every month from 10am .

The Windsor RSL Club has generously allowed us access to club facilities to hold our meetings. Our members, in turn, patronise their cafes and restaurant for morning tea and our after meeting lunch.

We have many outings and activities eg, ( to  mention a few)

Movies at Mt Vic flicks, followed by lunch at Blackheath,

A day out on the Brooklyn river boat mail cruise

Lunch at Doyle’s Restaurant at Watson bay,

Race day at Hawkesbury Race Club, Clarendon

The walking club meets regularly at Richmond where we can walk at our own pace, keeping us fit.

Croquet every Friday is also good exerice . We also enjoy lots of fun and laughter, followed by  the delicious scones, jam and cream with coffee afterwards.

Each December we celebrate Christmas with a wonderful lunch at the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley.

We endeavour to support all our local restaurants, cafes and venues.

We look forward to planning some exciting activities to celebrate our 10th Anniversary which is coming up in May 2025
