The committee have been working away in the background to organise events and activities for you. I have a list which we would like replies from you about.

 

Karralyka morning events.

 Jan and Lyn have been busy researching the morning events available at Karralyka for next year.

Jan has book 15 seats for every day time session (see list below)

We need to pay for the session 8 weeks in advance to secure our seats.

The seats are in row B and C – near the front for good viewing.

Each morning session commences at 9.30 with morning tea which includes tea/coffee and delicious scones.

The actual show commences at 10.30am and is 1 hour 15 minutes duration.

Tickets cost $27.

The first session is on Tuesday 11 March – Frank Sinatra. Led by music theatre star Ian Stenlake, this new production will tell the story of one of the greatest crooners the world has ever known. With classics like “Fly me to the moon”, “My way”, “Mack the knife”, and many more.

If you are interested in this show can you please pay by 5 January to guarantee your attendance.

The Concert Lounge – Croydon

At the last General Meeting Richard Pengelley mentioned that there is a show on at the concert lounge in Croydon.

Unfortunately, it is a bit late for us to organise a group but here are the details if you are interested to go.

We will keep this venue in mind for future events.

Richard is in the band that is playing their.

 

Crochet/knitting group.

We had a lovely afternoon for our first session.

We will be having this group fortnightly.

Next session is 30 January 2025, 1.00 at the Warrandyte Community Centre.

Card Group.

There was some interest in having a card group.

We would like to get this up and running.

What card games would you like? Suggestions have been – 500, Canasta.

Learning to play the Ukulele

There was interest in learning how to play the Ukulele.

North Ringwood Community House has instructor who runs courses there for a cost of $145 for a 10-week course. Unfortunately, the course never went ahead as t hey need a minimum of 6 people.

Can you let us know if you are interested as we will try to organise something next year if we have the numbers.

We may be able to organise the course in conjunction with Warrandyte Community Centre.
