Au Chun Long, “What has made Singapore a successful city-state andthe challenges posed by current world events”

Au Chun LongDeputy is High CommissionerSingapore High Commission in Canberra. Chun Long joined the Singapore Foreign Ministry in 2012. He spent most of the first ten years covering Indonesia and China, including as Desk Officer/Indonesia (2012-2014); Desk Officer/China (2014); First Secretary (Political) at the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta (2015-2017); and Assistant Director and Deputy Director/China (2017-2021). Prior to his posting to Canberra as Deputy High Commissioner in 2024, he was Special Assistant to the Minister for Foreign Affairs (2021-2022) and Deputy Director/Special Project (2023). He read History and Politics at Oxford University and Political Science at ColumbiaUniversity. He plays the guitar and brings his two daughters out to explore Australia in his free time. |
