Our Club
The Mitcham Hills Combined Probus Club was formed at a meeting conducted on 22 February 1993 and ratified by our sponsoring Rotary club Blackwood.
Our club is a mixed gender club with over 100 members.
A typical meeting will include club business, a member profile talk then morning tea.
A guest speaker is invited to make a presentation on wide and varied topics, this segment is about one hour in duration. Many members stay on at the club for lunch.
A club information Bulletin is distributed at the meeting. Copies can be viewed on this website under Bulletins.
This bulletin is the place to look for up-coming events and meeting information.
Outings are planned on a monthly basis to various points of interest and organisations including, Meals on Wheels, Lions Hearing Dogs, Edinburgh Airport, Parliament House, Hans Heysen Gallery "Captain Proud" paddle boat (see below) and many others.
Special interest groups are an important part of our club and include Caravan & Cabin Outings. Beachwalks are also popular.
Major functions throughout the year include the Annual General Meeting in March, a Picnic in November and the Christmas Lunch in December. The Caravan & Cabin trip is held annually.
Fun, Friendship and Fellowship are core components of our club’s culture.
