Probus Clubs originated in the U.K. in 1965.  They were established in New Zealand in 1974 and then in Australia in 1976.

Probus Clubs have filled a need for today's active retirees, offering friendships, together with a variety of activities and benefits both physical and mental. ALL THIS PLUS HAVING A LOT OF FUN!

 

Our Club began in 1993 when the Rotary Club of Langwarrin advertised in the local newspaper inviting retired people interested in forming a Probus Club to a meeting .

Our Probus started in November 1993 with 17 members.

 

In 1996 our club helped Rotary establish the Langwarrin Ladies Probus.
