Tour of Living Legends – Meeting Australia’s Equine Champions
Our members enjoyed a wonderful visit to Living Legends, nestled in the peaceful Woodlands Park near Melbourne Airport. This unique sanctuary is home to many of Australia’s retired racing champions, now happily living out their days in spacious green paddocks.
We were treated to an informative guided tour, learning about each horse’s racing career and colourful personality. It was a real thrill to get up close, pat the horses, and hear stories of their glory days on the track.
The setting was calm and picturesque, with plenty of time for photos, laughter, and a delicious morning tea shared among friends.
It was a truly memorable outing — relaxing, educational, and full of heart — reminding us all why these beautiful animals remain such a special part of Australia’s sporting history
