Our Club
Membership of the Probus Club of Glenwood - Stanhope is open to women and men who are retired or semi-retired. Members do not have to necessarily reside in the suburbs of Glenwood or Stanhope Gardens.
Our club holds a monthly general meeting on the third Monday of each month. There are also a number of fun activities conducted each month to provide opportunities for members to meet one another. Visitors are welcome at the meeting. For catering purposes, please contact our Club Membership Officer prior to coming to the meeting.
Members are kept up to date with planned activities by a regular newletter (or "Moosletter" as we like to call it. If you live in Stanhope Gardens, you will understand where the name for our newsletter came from!)
The Club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Blacktown and the Foundation meeting was held on November 16 2015.
Monthly Meetings
Members arrive around 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. start. We try to have an interesting speaker at most meetings, and try to keep the rest of the meeting reasonably informal. We try to have a lighthearted fun experience for everyone so we play games such as trivia, tell jokes, etc. We also sometimes have special event meetings such as a special tribute to our birthday, fun on St. Patrick's Day and a big bash at the end of the year for Christmas. This is just a few of the activities we provide. So, come along, visit us and join the fun!
Membership Fees
- There is an initial joining fee of $30.
- There is an annual fee of $50
- There is a monthly meeting fee of $3
