Probus is an association of active retirees and semi-retirees who meet on a regular basis. The basic purpose is to provide opportunities for our members to keep their minds active, expand their interests and to enjoy fun, friendship and fellowship with other people. (The word "Probus" comes from the words "PROfessional" and "BUSiness groups".) In reality, it is a social club for retirees.
Our club arranges day bus trips, overnight trips, lunches and dinners, walks, book club, glamping trips, Rummikub, Scrabble and games, movies, garden appreciation, axe throwing, $2.50 days, and many other activities. There is plenty to do for the "young at heart"!
Our club was formed on November 16, 2015. We hold a monthly meeting on the third Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. start. Normally, our meeting finishes by 12:00 noon. We normally arrange a lunch nearby after our meeting.
