THE PROBUS CLUB OF NORTH EPPING

The Probus Club of North Epping was established in November 1984. It is a men's Probus Club providing a diverse range of activities for seniors in the North Epping and surrounding areas.

Wives and partners make a great contribution to the club through their attendance at meetings and events.

The number of activity and interest groups within the Club increased slowly but steadily during our formative years. A bowls group was the first established, and it was soon followed by a walking group, a golf group, and a luncheon group.

In 2010 the Sleep Apnoea Support Group was introduced. This is a wonderful innovation which recognizes the importance of men discussing men’s health, and is evidence of a club that genuinely cares for its members. By 2010 there were no less than 20 of these ‘sub-groups’. A list of them is in the section "Activity and Interest Groups" on this website.

The Club is recognized in our community as being-well managed thanks to strong committees and an enthusiastic, willing and positive membership. The Club’s Bulletin continues to keep members informed, the Convenors of our many activity and interest groups pursue their roles with vigour, and the activities are well patronized and thoroughly enjoyed.

Present membership is about 115 active members. The club meets on the third Monday of the month at the North Epping Bowling & Community Club, 132 Boundary Road, North Epping at 9.30am.

Visitors are welcome at our monthly meetings.  There is plenty of parking at the NEBCC.
