The Probus Club of Croydon Inc. was established by
The Rotary Club of Croydon on 6th June 1984 for
the Croydon area.
Although originally the club consisted of only male
members in the early years, the committee of management
and members in 2005 decided membership should be open
to both genders and subsequently ladies were inducted into
the club from September 2005, then in 2022 it was decided the Club should merge with Croydon Ladies.
Since then the club does have an equal balance of both males
and females on the management committee and the general
membership.
