MONTHLY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETINGS
(First Monday of each month, 9am in the Anzac Room at the RSL)
The Club Management Committee usually meets on the first day of each month (subject to public holidays) and the day before the General Meeting of members at the Bribie Island RSL to administer the business of the club. Each Committee member reports on their area of responsibility with recommendations for future activities of the club.
The Committee reports to the next scheduled Club General Meeting. The President usually holds office for one year, with other Committee members serving usually for several terms. The Vice President acts in the absence of the President with other Committee positions being covered by an appointed deputy.

General Meetings of all members who can attend are held at the Bribie Island RSL Club, Toorbul Street, Bongaree, on the first Tuesday of the month. The meeting start time is 9.15 a.m. and the meeting concludes at approximately 11.30 am.
The meeting takes the following format:

Welcome from the President to all members and visitors, and acceptance of apologies,

Induction of new member/s,

Acceptance of minutes of previous meeting (all minutes and bulletins are emailed to members who are on line and posted to those not on-line to avoid having to read minutes to the meeting),

Financial report and reports from the President and other Committee members, including the birthday list,

Profile speaker (all members are invited to tell their life story at some time after joining if they wish),

Raffle - members/visitors contribute $2 per ticket for a cash prize with a jackpot prize for members who have purchased a ticket on the day and whose lucky token is drawn,

Morning tea (provided free of charge by RSL) is held around 10.00 a.m., providing an opportunity for members to engage in fellowship by interacting with other members and engaging with visitors who may be contemplating joining the club.

Guest Speaker – The Program Director arranges guest speakers on issues of interest to the membership. A small gift is given to the guest speaker in appreciation of the presentation. Details of past guest speakers are provided in section 9 of this website.
