Information regarding the Election of the
Management Committee for 2026/2027
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bilgola Plateau Probus Club will be held on Friday, 6 March 2026, at the Newport Bowling Club. At the AGM, an election of Management Committee members for 2026/2027 will take place.
Nominations for the Management Committee will open at the General Meeting on Friday, 2 January 2026. Members wishing to seek a position on the Management Committee should complete the Management Committee Nomination Form below. Nominations require a proposer and a seconder, both of whom must be financial members of the club.
Nominations are sought for the following positions:
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Guest Speakers Officer, Membership Officer, Newsletter Officer, Publicity Officer, Tours/Activities Officers (2) and Welfare Officer
Some of the existing Committee Members may be eligible for re-nomination. Role Descriptions for the above positions can be found under the "Management Committee and Role Descriptions" page of this website.
Nominations should be lodged with the Secretary, Mary Musgrave, at email address [email protected], before the General Meeting on Friday, 6 February 2026.
Voting for the Management Committee positions will take place by a show of hands at the AGM on 6 March 2026. Nominations may be called from the floor at the AGM if no nominations have been received prior to the AGM on Friday, 6 March 2026. The nominated Committee candidate/s with the greatest number of votes from those present at the AGM (or by proxy) will be declared elected. In the event that the votes of two or more candidates for an office are equal, the President has the determinative vote. If only one nomination is received for a position the candidate nominated will be declared elected. Proxy votes that are received (via the Secretary) by 10 am on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 will be accepted. A Proxy Form is shown below.
Prior to the AGM on 6 March 2026, a Returning Officer who must be a financial member, will be appointed by the Management Committee.
