About Northern Lights
The Northern Lights or also commonly know as the Aurora Borealis can be seen from October - March and are a light phenomenon that only appears north of the Arctic Circle.
The Northern lights can be any colours from blue, green, pink, yellow & red. The lower altitudes form blue and green lights, while the highest altitudes form the red colour. The colours depend on what gas is involved and how high in the ionosphere (Earth’s upper atmosphere) the reaction takes place.
