After twenty-five years of “Men only” , the Probus Club of Glenferrie has thrown open its doors to allow women to become members.
The Mayor of Boroondara, Councillor Coral Ross presented certificates of membership to twelve ladies at an Induction ceremony held at the Balwyn Community Centre.
Club President Colin Simpson said he welcomes the change to mixed membership and hopes the Club will continue to flourish and grow in the years ahead.
The Rotary Club of Glenferrie started the Club in April 1991 with just a
handful of members;membership in 2015 stands at almost eighty
Monthly Club meetings are held 3rd Friday in the month and include a guest speaker and refreshments.
