A group of 24 travellers from Syndal Combined Club had a very interesting and enjoyable week exploring the Central NSW Coast.
Based at the Forster Palms Motel, the five days of touring covered an area from the Hunter Valley to Port Macquarie. The tour package included visits to the Vickers Fudge Factory in Wauchope, the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie, the magnificent Hunter Valley Gardens and the Crystalline Pottery in Bonny Hill. The members also checked out the Long Point Winery at Lake Cathie, the Cundletown Museum and the very interesting Hillview Herb Farm near Gloucester.
Other highlights included whale watching on the popular cruiser Amaroo, viewing three whales and many dolphins, and a drive to the summit of North Brother Mountain, with magnificent views up and down the coast.
