Probus Friendship Day in Wonthaggi

Wonthaggi & District Combined Probus Club proudly hosted the 2017 Probus District Friendship Day on Friday 24th November, 2017 at the Wonthaggi Workmens Club.
Clubs President Mike Adams declared the function an outstanding success with over 140 Probus members attending from district clubs including Andersons Inlet, Corinella, Cowes, Foster, Inverloch, Phillip Island, San Remo and Wonthaggi/Inverloch.
Members were entertained by Wonthaggi’s own Golden Girls singing the especially composed Wonthaggi Probus Club song. Entertainment also included renowned Jazz Singer Patsy O’Neil and her band of excellent local musicians who gave a polished performance.
The Club would especially like to thank the Management and Staff of the Wonthaggi Workmens Club for their support and generous donation of the use of their main function room, which was set up according to our requirements. In addition WWC donated the use of a meeting room for an inter club planning meeting, and on the day of the Friendship meeting donated a gift voucher to use as a door prize and a subsidised lunch for 140 Probus members.
