34 ladies enjoyed The Terraces scrumptious Christmas lunch in December
Unfortunately, the Auckland devious weather produced rain for our January picnic lunch at Wendy’s. However, the brave 14 had a great catch up, sitting comfortably in her lounge. Wendy was as usual organized and took everyone’s coats to hang in the laundry and everyone got the correct at home time.
We hope you enjoy the activities we have planned for this year and remember, if you have any ideas, you think we will enjoy please let the committee know.
Today our speaker is Adrienne Joyce who is a long time St Heliers Resident. Some of you may remember a house barged away from the corner of The Parade and Tamaki Dr. This was Adrienne’s, and she will tell us the saga of moving it to be their beach house.
Tuesday 17th February Movie Day. As usual, we are unsure of which movies will be available. Dianne may be able to tell us on Tuesday, and I will send my usual email.
Tuesday 24th February Coffee group. We can arrive from 10 am at The Akoranga Eatery 8/10 Tamaki Dr, just before the Ngapipi Rd lights. Remember the café parking is in the area immediately to the right when you enter the grounds
Upcoming Events in March:
March 10th AGM
March 31st Lunch at Cornwall Park Bistro. This café is in a beautiful location. It offers both cabinet food and a menu. Each member can pay separately. The trip book is out today to gauge interest. If we need to arrange car sharing, we can sort this at the March meeting
2026 A.G.M. Tuesday March 10th at 2pm at the usual venue.
The minutes of the 2025 AGM and agenda for this year are attached.
Also attached is the financial report which clearly explains our financial situation. However, with our membership of 54, our outgoings are not covered by the current subscription of $50. Consequently, the committee has recommended a rise in subscriptions to $60. This is on the AGM agenda to be ratified.
