History of the Club:
The Probus Club of Rye Whitecliffs was formed as a combined club on February 22nd, 2001. Although the first meeting was held in Rye, "Whitecliffs" being a prominent local land mark, was included in the name to distiquish the club from other Probus Clubs in the area.
Meetings were first held in the Rye Community Centre. Club membership was initially limited to 80 members and later to 90. By 2002 the meetings were being held in the Blairgowrie Community Hall with the membership then being increased to 100.
In 2010, the Membership ceiling was increased to 105 and later in March 2018 it was increased to 120.
At present membership numbers have dropped to around 60 members.
