We hope this information about our Club will stir your interest. What is Probus you may ask ..
Probus is a social club for active members of the community who are retired or are no longer working full time. As they say.. Probus members retire from work, not life.
We provide regular opportunities to progress healthy minds and active bodies through social interaction and activities. You will soon be a part of the Fellowship and fun which our Members enjoy. Our partners can join the many and varied activities. such as Lawn Bowls, Petanque, Golf, discussion groups and monthly Luncheons.
If you think Probus membership could suit you, for both Men and Women, please pay us a visit or contact Graham Swann, our Membership Convenor on 0403 200 535
Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except December). Members start arriving at around 9am and get to talk and share with other Members before our General meeting kicks off at 9.30 am.
We presently meet at the Redlands RSL Club, 8 Passage Street, Cleveland. A Guest Speaker is invited each month. We have in the past had speakers from the Qld Marine Rescue, ABC, Authors, Researchers in Medical Science.. just to name a few. An audio/ visual presentation is often included.
We have two major celebratory functions each year. We have a Spring Picnic in September, at Raby Bay Foreshore Park on the first Monday in September (subject to favourable Wheather). We always have our Christmas Luncheon in December.
Interesting activities at this Club include Monthly luncheons. We have Petanque, Bowls, Golf, other Group Activities and we also have a Cabins and Caravans Group. If you’re interested in a good chat/discussion then this is catered for by our Morning Chat/Investment Groups.
